Agnes Frances (Moore) Collins

Mrs. Agnes (Frances) Moore Collins 84 of Mebane, went to meet her Lord and savior on Monday July 12, 2021 at Carver Rehab and Health in Durham. She was of the Baptist faith. She was born in Person County on February 14th 1937 to the late John T Moore and Illa Mae Moore. She was married to the love of her life Robert Lee Collins who passed away in 2008. They were happily married for 53 years. They had two children Carolyn Collins Fuqua and John Robert Collins. They had three grandchildren Celia Ann Starnes, Christie Lynn Fuqua and Casey Thomas Fuqua and 3 great grandchildren Austin Windol Elliott, Celeste Taylor Elliott and Mikayla Leigh Manson.

Agnes worked in a hosiery mill all her life until she retired. Once she retired she had more time to spend with her grandchildren.

Family was very important to her. She always cooked a huge Sunday dinner and invited her family over. It made her happy to be surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed planting a garden, planting flowers and was very crafty. She enjoyed sewing, making flower arrangements and other crafts. She was a doting grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always made sure they were taken care of. She was funny, whitty, smart and loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Collins Fuqua, Granddaughter Celia Ann Starnes Cole (Lonnie).,  Great grandchildren Austin Windol Elliott, Celeste Taylor Elliott (Anna) and Mikayla Leigh Manson.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Robert, her son John, her granddaughter Christie and grandson Casey. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday July 18th at 3:00 in the Chapel of McClure funeral home Mebane, Pastor Robert Oliver will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
