Barbara was a dear friend. We shared grandsons whom she loved very much. She was always kind and ready to do anything for her family. The memories are so beautiful and I will always cherish them. Carol McKinnon

I met Barbara at ACC when she enrolled in the Early Childhood Program where I was department head.  Barbara took the classes to become a teacher assistant.  She was older than our other students but her friendliness and sincere personality helped our classes especially  when she shared her mature insights. Her classmates  loved and admired her.
Testing time proved stressful for Barbara since she had not been in school for quite a while.  We allowed her to take the tests in a separate room.  She soon learned that she was achieving very well in the program.  After graduation, Barbara got a job working as an assistant at Smith Elementary school.  She was loved and honored by the folks who had the opportunity to work with her.  Barbara gave many gifts of instruction and encouragement to the children.  I would see her from time to time as I checked on students in training from our program.  It was such a blessing to see her thrive and to share her many talents with others.  Barbara had a ready smile and giving heart..
I had lost contact with her but when I read of her obituary I thought, this had to be the Barbara I revered.  I want to express to the family my deepest sympathy.  May your sweet memories  comfort you.

We had many good times together.  She was a good friend to me ,I would visit her in the rest home and we laugh and talk about old times.  We went to the beach together and really had good time down there. She loved her grandchildren.  I know they well miss her but she is with Jesus now, May Jesus wrap his arm around you take away your sorrow.
