Barbara Dale Teer (Secreast) Lemieux

Mrs. Barbara Dale Secreast Teer Lemieux, 83 of River Landing of Colfax, NC passed away on Monday November 9, 2020 at the Beacon Place in Greensboro. A native of Burke Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arval Secreast and Lena Wakefield Haigler. Barbara was a member of the ABWA for numerous years. She enjoyed her time and lunches with her classmates from Williams High School class of 1955. For many years she got to live her dream as the owner and operator of Carolina Smoked Seafood in Morehead City, NC as she loved the beach so much. Barbara enjoyed many things and activities in her life but she loved nothing more than being outside, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara retired from AT&T.  She and her husband of 27 years loved to travel, having traveled around Europe and Asia, traveling the Nile River in Egypt and finishing up a trip to Sweden before the Covid-19 outbreak. Survivors include her loving husband, William “Bill” Lemieux; her daughter, Dale Teer Moser and her son, Danny Teer and wife Debra; her grandchildren, Christopher Moser and wife Becky, and Joshua Teer; her great grandchildren, Emma Moser, Jackson Moser, Isabella Taylor and Saylix Riggins; a sister, Betsy Moran and Husband Prentice; sister in laws, Aileen and Norma Secreast; a brother in law, Billy Teer and wife Ann and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death  by her late husband, Bobby Daniel Teer; step fathers, Homer Owen and Glenn Haigler; brothers, Bill and Jerry Secreast and a sister, Judy Allred. A private family service will be held on Friday November 13, 2020 with Pastor Darryl Peebles officiating. Mrs. Lemieux will be open for public viewing on Thursday November 12, 2020 from 11 until 5 Pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham. The family will hold a memorial service for the public at a later date. The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Dale on Stone Street, Haw River. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Place at 2502 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405
