Betty Jean Brown born July 5, 1934, passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2020, at the age of 86 due to complications following open-heart heart surgery. Betty was predeceased by her husband Rev. Denzil E. Brown.
She is survived by her six children: Deborah Matheson, Denise Marriner, Darla Schneider, Crystal Fuller, Delmar Brown, Davina Killingsworth. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty’s faith in the Lord was demonstrated in her role as pastor’s wife as they ministered jointly for fifty years. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching Sunday School and the numerous administrative duties associated with pastoring. She was best known for her homemade peanut brittle the church used fundraising.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking/baking, nurturing her numerous house plants; and loved growing roses in her yard. She loved gathering her family at her home for the holidays creating joyful memories that will live on forever. In her golden years she amazed her children by adapting to new technology. She took great pride in personalizing cards and communication to both family and friends. Her generous heart was evident in her talent for gift selection and flare and presentation of each gift.
