Beulah Kathryn (Phillips) Anderson

Nashville, N.C. – Mrs. Beulah Kathryn Phillips Anderson, 99 years, 7 months and 11 days, of 709 Western Avenue, Nashville, NC. 27856, went home peacefully to be with Jesus at 11:38 a.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021.  A native of Alamance County, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. “Andy” Anderson and her parents Charlie C. and Rosa Maness Phillips.  She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Hillsborough and was recipient of the Woman of the Year Award in 2002. She retired from Isley’s Hosiery in Graham.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Linda A. Boggs (Pastor Roger Boggs, deceased) of Graham and Mrs. Judy A. Haggis (Art Haggis, deceased) of Nashville, N.C.  and a son, Mr. Danny Anderson and wife, Judy Carol of Florida, and a sister-n-law, Mrs. Odge (Glenda Sykes) Phillips of Haw River, 12 grandchildren - Tammy Boggs Bason(Rick), Teresa Boggs, Tracy Boggs Moore(Craig), Trina Boggs Pugh(Kevin), Tiffany Boggs Bray(David), Lori (Jill) McLeod, Jennifer Jo(JJ) Haggis, George Haggis(Christy), Tabitha Wheeler Vick(Derrick), Melanie Wheeler, Daniel Anderson and Benjamin Anderson, 24 great-grandchildren - Aaron(Stephanie) and Austin Bason, Joshua, Justin, Jacob and Jillian Boggs, Coady Welch, Caroline and Brooke Moore, Peyton, Joella and Weston Pugh, Faith, Emmanuel and Hope Bray, Kathryn and Kienan Haggis, Jasmine, Jordan and Jeremy Cherry, Eli Haggis, Paxton Jack, Meadow and Thatcher Vick, 7 great-great-grandchildren - Henry Bason, Jayden Yancey, Marissa, Layla and Zamira Boggs, Braylon and Malia Cherry, and 21 nieces and nephews - Allen, Bobbie, Stanley, Kenny, Debbie, Steve, Lisa, Bruce, Connie, Barry, Terry, Neil, Blaine, Jerry, Joyce Marie, Wesley, Becky, Sherry, Gaynell, Ricky and Wendy.  A special thank you to niece, Debbie McPherson, for the constant cards and letters over the years.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Ms. Hattie Mae Hodgin, Ms. Etrola Adams, Ms. Ethel Hodgin and Ms. Lucy Hall; and two brothers, Mr. Charlie (Team) Phillips and Mr. Ottis (Odge) Phillips.

There will be a graveside service at Long’s Chapel Church cemetery on Sunday, March 28th at 2 p.m. by Rev. Walter Jones Jr. and Pastor David Bray.

A public viewing will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, Saturday, March 27th from 12 noon until 5 p.m.
