Brandon Ray Markham

Mr. Brandon Ray Markham 35, of Burlington, NC passed away on July 17, 2022 at his residence due to heart complications. Brandon was born on April 17, 1987 to his mother, Donna Overman Hughes and stepfather, Jerry Hughes, who survives. Brandon was very athletic and loved sports as he was an avid Duke and Patriots fan and never missed an opportunity to play golf. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved to ride and travel the roads wherever they may have taken him. Brandon worked alongside his brother Jeremy for many years with Allgood Appliances to carry on the tradition of their uncle Maytag. Prior to leaving Alamance County, Brandon work all over the country installing church steeples as this always gave him a sense of fulfillment helping the churches. Brandon graduated from Graham High School. He loved to play around with his children as he would do anything to see the smiles on their faces. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his children, Ashlynn Rae Markham, Brandi Nicole Markham and Ethan Brady Markham; his fiancé, Miranda Wilson and her children, Hayden and Haley; brother, Jeremy Edwin Lyons; grandmother, Mary Jo Collins; his special nephew,  Jaxson Alexander Lyons; uncle, Roger Dale Overman and his daughters,  Crystal Overman and  Nikki Shelton and husband Cort and their boys, Landon and Carter Shelton and ; a special friend, Jarrett Allison and many other loving family and friends. Brandon is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dewey Lee Overman and his uncles, Douglas Eugene “Maytag” Overman and Gary Lee Overman. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday July 24, 2022 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Tim Cheek officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of the family. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday July 25, 2022 at Alamance Memorial Park. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
