Obituary

Captain William “Bill” Melvin Gooding, 78, of Snow Camp, NC passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was the son of the late Everette Gooding and Vernie Blackwood Gooding.  He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was a Captain for 13 years.  Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Shue Gooding, his son, Jason Cobb, his daughters, Sharon Norton (Joseph) and Tracy Torain (Terry), his grandchildren, Tyler Cobb Jr., Austin Cobb, Jeremy Gooding, Cole Hensley, Christian Hensley, Caleb Hensley and a great grandchild, Jaxon Cobb.  A celebration of life service will be held at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel, in Graham on Monday July 18, 2022 at 11:00AM with visitation to follow.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Cane Creek Friends Meeting Cemetery
