Christine Marie Pelz, age 57, of Pittsboro, NC, passed suddenly on June 22nd 2020 due to complications of ALS.
She was born on November 16th, 1962 in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Christine was a bright, loving soul who enjoyed her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with everyone, drinking strong coffee, listening to music, and spending as much time as she could with family. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way; she was a shoulder to lean on and everyone’s best confidant.
She is survived by her parents, Ronie Demler and Robert Boughner (and wife Barbara), her siblings Heather McAndrew, Gwendolyn Gettemy, Robert Boughner (and wife Rebecca), her nieces Danielle McAndrew Powell (and husband Ryan), Mallory McAndrew, Taralynn Gettemy, Margaret Gettemy, many beloved cousins that were more like brothers and sisters, and many more family members & friends.
A memorial in her honor will be held at a later time; please contact the family if you would like more information. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association North Carolina Chapter located in Raleigh North Carolina. The family wishes to thank UNC hospitals and Duke University hospital for all their help in making Christine’s last few months as comfortable as possible.
