Connie Fay (Wright) Saunders

Connie Fay Wright Saunders, 82, of Mebane passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was a native of Lancaster, PA, raised in Sylvatus, VA, retired from the Alamance/Burlington School system, was a member of the NCAE and NEA and was a member of the Mebane Presbyterian Church. She is the daughter of the late David George and Vergie Margaret Cox Wright. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Douglas and Curtis Wright.

She is survived by her sons, Zane Anthony Saunders and wife Jill of Dugspur, VA, Bryan Patrick Saunders and wife Linda of Graham, Cameron Garth Saunders and wife Sarah of Mebane; grandchildren, David Saunders, Alyssa Peeks (Kyle), Isaac Saunders, Anna Saunders, Maggie Saunders, Maxton Saunders, Seth Saunders, Laurin Rachel Peatross; brothers, Gary Wright and wife Terri of Lexington, Collin Wright and wife Terry of Hillsville; sister, Juanita Bowers and husband Wayne of Hillsville, VA.

A service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13 at the Mebane Presbyterian Church by Dr. Jeff Smith. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
