Crystal Handy Gonzalez

Mrs. Crystal Denise Handy Gonzalez, 39 of Graham, NC passed away on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at her residence. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of Phyllis Hogan Smith, who survives. Crystal was a loving and devoted wife, and mother. She was known for being funny, very smart, and her passion for cooking and baking cakes for her family and friends. Crystal always put her family first, especially with her son who is autistic. Her patience and devoted love to helping her son always shined bright. She enjoyed being outdoors, watching the birds, butterflies and the dog run around. She always looked forward to family trips to Myrtle Beach, watching Family Feud with her family, reading and artistry. With her driven, kind hearted and nurturing soul, she always held her family together and made time to create long lasting memories. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Edgar Jaimez Gonzalez; her daughter, Claudia Michaella Gonzalez and her son Brandon Eian Gonzalez; sisters, Sandy Goodman and Gwen Jeffries and a brother, Jerry L. Smith and wife Fedena. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Catherine Handy. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Don Pegg officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
