Darrell Grey “Butch” Copeland, 68, of Graham passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023. He was a native of Alamance County and retired as an insurance agent with Western & Southern and the Don Allred Agency. He did work as a DJ, enjoyed going to flea markets, was a former shag teacher, promoted concerts for Ivan Parker and other gospel groups and was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge. He is the only child of the late Rodney Vern and Carleen Farrell Copeland.
He is survived by his fiancé, friend, and companion, Marilyn Williams; Cousins, Pastor James Bowman and wife Lela, Bobby Holt and wife Jackie, Linda Roberts and husband Rick; Great Aunt, Yvonne Farrell; as well as other cousins and extended family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Walter Jones. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 Before the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.mcclurefuneralservice.net.
