Denise Garner Obituary

Denise Willis Garner, 57, of Mebane passed away Friday, September 03, 2021, at Duke University Hospital. Denise was born in Alamance County to Jack Cecil Willis and Margaret Lunsford Willis. Mrs. Garner was a hairdresser for over 40 years. Denise attended First Baptist Church of Haw River and can be remembered as a true servant and a faithful child of God with a heart of gold. She can be described as having contagious laughter and a person who was willing to give whatever they could to others at any moment. Outside of styling hair and her church Denise also enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting, and crafting. All of these things meant a lot to Denise, but none surpassed the love in her heart for her family. She most enjoyed spending time with those closes to her as a wife, mother, nana, sister, daughter, and friend.

Denise is survived by her husband, Marc Garner, her son, Matt Garner (Heather), her daughter, Ashley Scott (John), her grandchildren, Ava, Brystal, Charlee, J.C., Isabella, and A.J., her father, Jack Cecil Willis, and her sisters, Crystal Johnson, and Sheila Voshell.

Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her mother.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, at The First Baptist Church of Haw River beginning at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held at the church for the family to receive friends an hour prior to the service.
