Mrs. Dianne Cheek Moore, 75, of Burlington, NC, passed peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2023. She was the daughter of the late James E. Cheek and Annie Dare Isley Cheek. Mrs. Moore will be remembered as a fun loving woman, always finding a way to weave her funny sayings into conversation. Mrs. Moore had a love for many things in life including traveling with her husband, taking trips to the beach, all things Duke, eating at the Graham Soda Shop, and shopping and crafting with her girls. She also had a special love for her church family at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. All of these things brought joy to Dianne, but none held a place more special in her heart than her family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Robert Albert Moore, and her brother, Johnny Cheek.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Ingle (Allan), and Jennifer Joines (Chris), her five grandchildren, Kristina Kullberg (Perry), Erik Kullberg (Emy), Brian Joines (Ally), Morgan Joines, and Adam Joines; her great-grandchild, Easton Joines; and her two brothers, Jerry Cheek (Faye) and Jimmy Cheek (Karen).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00PM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Burlington. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church, beginning at 12:30. Burial will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Brahmanday and staff at the Cancer Center and the staff at Hospice for their compassion and care for Mrs. Moore in her time of need.
