Dorothy Ruth (Boone) Cochran

Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Boone Cochran 93, of Henderson, formerly of Graham, NC passed away on March 5, 2021 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford. A native of Alamance Co. NC she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Sr. and Mary Pauline Allen Boone. Dorothy loved to dance and listen to old country and gospel music. Christmas time was Dorothy favorite time of year as she loved to decorate and spend time with her family and friends. Over the years, she had gone on various cruises, trips to the mountains and spending time at Dollywood with her sister. Dorothy loved children and nothing made her smile more than her grandchildren. Dorothy loved the Lord and would spend countless hours listening to the Talking Bible. Survivors include her son, Rickey Capps Sr. and wife Betty; her daughters, Carolyn Capps and Janet Griffin; her grandchildren, Ricky Dean Capps Jr., Tina Britt, Tammy Oaks, Mitchell Crabtree and Sonia Nunez, Michael Capps and her 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hardy Cochran. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday March 13, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Mike Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Graham. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday March 12, 2021 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
