Duane Foote Obituary

Duane H. Foote, 85, of Hartfield, VA, completed this life’s journey on June 7, 2021 joining his beautiful wife of sixty-one years and nine months. Duane was an avid fisherman, guitar player, singer, bowler, tinkerer, storyteller, traveler, and lover of a good New York aged white cheddar cheese.

He was born and raised in Lowville, NY. Joined the Navy and met the love of his life Faustina Agumbay. They married in 1959 traveled throughout the United States and abroad eventually settling in Virginia. Duane retired from the Navy in 1976, and Civil Service in 1995.

Duane is preceded in death by his wife Faustina, parents James Foote, Clara Foote, his sisters Leigh Legary, Joyce Pellam, nephew Jamie Foote. He is survived by his brother, Paul Foote, his sisters Sharon Delawyer, Frances Lehman, five children, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
