Elizabeth Claudette Stout

Mrs. Elizabeth Claudette Guthrie Stout, 88, of Graham, NC went home to be with her beloved husband Cap, on December 28, 2022. Mrs. Stout was born June 01, 1934, in Alamance County, North Carolina to the late Herbert Guthrie and Allene Thompson Guthrie. Mrs. Stout, more commonly referred to as Granny, will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed baking cakes for everyone as a token of gratitude and a sign of her appreciation for them. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her friends. Mrs. Stout practiced her faith as a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Snow Camp.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband Jesse Everett Stout, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Rich, Patsy Dodson, Martha McVey, Mary Smith, and Lillie Mae Holt.

Mrs. Stout is survived by her daughters, Cindy Wood (Tim), Wendy Willey (Brad), and Lindy Isley, grandsons, Jesse Wood (Vicki), Brad Wood (PJ), Adam Willey, Joshua Willey, and Coby Isley (Alex), six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nina Greeson.

A service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church in Snow Camp, on Saturday, January 07, 2023, beginning at 11AM.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel UMC General Fund.
