James Albert Lloyd Sr.

Creedmoor, NC. - Mr.  James Albert Lloyd Sr. passed away Friday October 15th 2021 at home surrounded by family. James was born June 16th 1931 to the late Vance Albert Lloyd and Pinky McKenzie Lloyd . 

James was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he reached the rank of Corporal.  

James was retired from Efland Knitting Mills after over 50 yearsof employment. While most people shy away from hard work he embraced it. James could be seen all over the Efland area on his John Deer Tractor or John Deer lawn mower even after his retirement.  

He was known for his Bar B Q and the Bar B Q grills he would build. 

He is survived by his wife at home Jean M. Lloyd, two daughters Renea Lloyd of Stem, Melissa Kornegay and her husband Steve Kornegay of Creedmoor and one son James A. Lloyd Jr. of Raleigh. Two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, with a fourth due in March ’22.  As well as many nephews and nieces. 

Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Efland Presbyterian Church 3700 US-70 Efland, NC.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 12 noon, service will be at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Efland Methodist Cemetery on Brookhollow Rd, Efland NC. immediately after the service.
