James Schweitzer Obituary

Mr. James Albert “Al” Schweitzer, 86, of Mebane, passed away, August 16, 2021. Mr. Schweitzer was born on March 6, 1935, in Sarver, PA, the son of the late Chester and Rosella Snyder Schweitzer. Al was a Master Sergeant in the United States Airforce where he served in combat in Vietnam, an Eagle Scout and a model railroad enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Drew Mae Vickery Schweitzer of the home; a son James Schweitzer (Susan) of Hillsborough; Grandchildren, Amorelle Schweitzer and Shiloh Mae Schweitzer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Schweitzer was preceded in death by siblings Harold Schweitzer, Mona McClain, Jean Stoebner, Rosella Miller and Robert Schweitzer. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday Aug 21, 2021at Mebane Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
