Janet Hargrove Ursery

Janet Hargrove Ursery, 75, formerly of Graham, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  Born May 26, 1944 in Burlington, NC, Janet was the daughter of Zilpha and Hal Hargrove, both deceased.

Janet graduated from Southern Alamance High School in Graham and was a long time employee at Kayser Roth, from where she retired in 2010.  She was a long time member of Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church in Saxapahaw, where she taught Sunday School and participated in the Children’s Ministry.  Janet lived most of her life in Alamance County and was living with family in Wilmington, NC at the time of her passing.

Janet is survived by a son, Tim Ursery and his wife Michelle, of Boiling Springs, SC, a son in law, Brian Lee of Wilmington, one brother, Jim Hargrove and wife Jan, of Cary, and six grandchildren.  Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Lee, a sister, Jean Thompson, and a bother, Joey Hargrove.  In addition, Janet is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date at Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church, where friends can celebrate her life.
