Mrs. Joan Lloyd Woods, 72, of Burlington passed away Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Joan was born in Halifax, Virginia to Norman Clayton and Clara Oaks Lloyd. Joan was a member of Community Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed attending services when she was able. Mrs. Woods can be remembered as a kind soul finding joy in the simple things in life such as reading, going to the grandkids ball games or doing her puzzles. Joan had a place in her heart for many things, but none surpassed the love she had for her family, most especially her beloved grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Deborah Woods and Tracy King, a son, Kenneth Wayne Woods Jr., a daughter-in-law, Michelle Woods, six brothers and sisters, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by, her husband Kenneth Wayne Woods Sr., and her son Tony Woods.
A visitation will be held for the family to receive friends on Wednesday, April 7th from 12pm-1pm at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Graham Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Stephen Hall.
