John Vincent Gallagher Jr.

John Vincent Gallagher, Jr., 75, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was a native of Guilford County and retired as a supervisor for the Dare County Fire Department. He is the son of the late John Vincent Gallagher, Sr. and the late Lois Massey Gallagher and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Morris Gallagher.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Ashley Gallagher of the home; Sons, John Gallagher, III and wife Kathy of Graham , John “Buddy” Gallagher, IV of the home; step children, James Jones and wife Sarah of Wade, Richard Ashley of Wade, Jacob Dumin of Graham, Frankie “Scooby” Little and wife Vickie of Burlington; sisters, Katherine Gallagher of New Jersey, Mary Teresa Gallagher of Germany, Michelle Limerick Gill; brother, Vincent John Gallagher of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Daniel Dale Gallagher, Caitlin Newby Whitaker and husband Daniel, William Adams, Skyler Hostetter, Brandon Little; step grandchildren, Devon Ashley, Ayden Ashley, Ryan Jones, Kristin Jones. A service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 9, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Rev. Keith Fox, Rev. Jerry Langley and Ken Farmer, Section Chief, National Fire Academy. The service of committal will; follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 – 3:00 before the service. it is requested that anyone bringing fire fighting apparatus to please call the funeral home.
