John Melvin Williamson Sr.

Mr. John Melvin Williamson Sr. of Leasburg, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 15,2021 at his home. Mr. Williamson was the son of James Edward Williamson and Mallie Webster Williamson, both deceased. For his working years Mr. Williamson spent most of his time working in the factory and farming. John can be remembered as a hardworking man, always getting the job done and ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He worked hard at being a provider and a good family man, over the years he made sure to set a good example for the ones he cared for most by being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by a son, John Melvin Williamson Jr, and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Williamson.

John is survived by his wife, Ethel Diane Williamson, his daughter Tracy Williamson Wright (Marty), three grandsons, Brandon Allen, Joseph Wright, Tyler Williamson (Kendall), two great-grandchildren, Arlo Williamson, and Isla Williamson, and a brother, Vernon H. Williamson, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, beginning at 3:00PM, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. A visitation will be held for the family to receive friends following the service.
