Mrs. Judy Gail Barts Jungermann, 73, of Graham passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her residence. Judy was born on December 6, 1946 in Alamance County to Frances Barts and Fred Stuart, both deceased. Judy spent her years caring for her beloved husband George and making sure her house always felt like a home. She could be described as the life of the party, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy carried a passion in her heart for many things including cooking, shopping, traveling all over in her motor home, eating out, and her church. All these things meant a lot to Judy, but none surpassed the love in her heart for her family. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Columbiettes. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, George Kalani Jungermann; daughter, Kathy Getkin and husband Jimmy, grandchildren, Tamara Chrisco and Victoria Ashe, a sister, Wanda Coggins and husband Walter, and five beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Janice Ely, and Vickie Mills. There was no service for Judy when she passed away due to Covid-19. George passed away on December 8, 2022 so a memorial service to celebrate George and Judy’s Life will be held on January 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family will visit with friends and family 30 minutes prior to the service on January 7, 2023 at the Church. Inurnment will be held in Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors for George at a later date. The family would like to give a special thank you to their God sent angels who helped care for and love Judy over the past few years, Flo Echevarria, Jewel Albright, and all the wonderful people at Authoracare Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Blessed Sacrament Church Food Pantry.
