Kathy Lewis Marks

Kathy Lewis Marks, age 61, was greeted by the loving embrace of Jesus on August 20, 2023.  She was a loving Wife, a loyal Mama, and a devoted MiMay.

A native of Alamance County, she was born January 13, 1962, as the daughter of Earl Lewis and the late Rebecca Jean Evans Lewis. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie and David Lewis and nephew, Christopher Lewis.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Marks, daughter, Tiffany Messick (husband Thomas), sister, Susan Brown (husband Timmy), nephew, Brandon Brown (wife Samantha), grand-children, Kylie, Brantley, Silas, and Judson Messick, and her baby dog, Sammy-Sue.

Kathy was a funny, sweet, strong woman who was always available to listen, and a sacrificial and dedicated servant of her family. Kathy and Tim met at Roll-A-Bout when they were 14 and married at the young age of 18. They both worked at Cone Mills until they had their only child Tiffany. Kathy always loved to have fun, to cut up and to laugh with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and loved to talk to others. She enjoyed spending time with her Daddy and her grandkids on a weekly basis.  When the grandkids came over, she always had a drawer full of snacks and never wanted anyone to leave hungry.

We are thankful for everyone’s prayers, love, and support. A very special thanks to the ICU nurses and doctors at Alamance Regional, who gave the best of care and guidance throughout Kathy’s stay.

The family will host friends on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, NC from 12-2pm. A Celebration of Life service at 2pm at McClure will be followed by a graveside memorial at Mt. Hermon Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Pegg officiating.
