Kenneth McVey Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Lee McVey 65, of Snow Camp, NC passed away on June 27, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Alamance Co. NC he was the son of the late Tom Forrest McVey and Martha Guthrie McVey. Kenneth was a man who was full of life and smiles. He loved the beach and the sounds of the waves crashing but he never missed the opportunity to go dancing especially when it came to shagging. He cherished his time with his buddies and having a cold one with them. He was a man who always put others needs above his own and was always willing to lend a hand. He was known for his laughter, uplifting personality and his cooking.  He loved the outdoors and was content with sitting on the porch listening to the birds and reading his Bible. Survivors include his loving wife, Louanne Thompson McVey; his sons, Michael McVey and wife Tammy and Kevin McVey and wife Kimberly; his loving grandchildren,  Taylor McVey and wife Maxine and Lilli McVey; his brothers, Clark McVey and Kathleen and Randall McVey and wife Brenda; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Vickie Hatch McVey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 7, 2022 at the First Wesleyan Church in Burlington.
