Larry Marion Lee

Larry Marion Lee, 83, of Mebane, passed away November 24, 2022 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Larry was born March 17, 1939 to Father, Hobart Lee and Mother, Una Shaw Lee in Alamance County, NC. Larry was married sixty four years on November 9, 2022 to his loving wife Nancy Braxton Lee.

Family visitation will be held on Saturday June 24, 2023 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane, NC from 1pm-3pm

Larry was a renowned Shockwave Physicist who retired as president and CEO of Klech Corporation, Albuquerque, NM from 1973 to June 2005. He liked to “blowup things” and make mathematical predictions from the explosions.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Nancy Braxton Lee, PhD. Their son Dr. John Gary Lee is a professor of Resource Economics at Perdue University.

Two Granddaughters also survive, Lauren Lee Johnson and her husband Tanner. Two Great Granddaughters survive, Claire Johnson and Nora Jean Johnson. Dr, Jenna Lee, PhD and professor at University in Lansing, Michigan. Additional survivors include and thanks to Bill Braxton, Larry’s wife’s brother and his wife Pam of Graham.

Children of Bill Braxton include his loving niece Tricia and her husband Todd Davis. Clay Davis, Tricia and Jordan. Niece, Dru Hearn. Special aunt of Nancy and Leslie.
