Lawrence "Frog" Everett Obituary

Mr. Lawrence Malloy “Frog” Everett, 91, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Monday June 24, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. A native of Caswell County, NC he was the son of the late Bernard Anderson and Mary Belle Webster Everett. Frog had worked with White’s Furniture Company in Mebane for 30 years. After his time with White’s Furniture, Frog joined the funeral profession in Mebane and worked with McClure Funeral Service for over 30 years serving the families he loved so much here in Mebane. Frog will be forever known for his honesty and his kindness throughout his life that was shown to others on a daily basis. He loved the people and the Town of Mebane with all of his heart. Frog was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church and he enjoyed his beach trips with his family, especially fishing at the beach. On November of this year, Frog and his wife Caroline Barker Everett would have been married for 70 years. Also surviving are his daughters, Judy Hall and husband Allan and Teresa E. Hodder, both of Mebane; grandchildren, John Hall, Jennifer Allred and husband Dwayne, Stephen Hodder, Nelson Fagan and Katherine Knicely and husband Anthony; great grandchildren, Mason R. Allred, Abby Hall and Riley Allred; sisters, Shirley “Jean” Jones, of Haw River, Rachel E. Monk and husband Larry, of Mebane and Lois Everett; and loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Robertson, Doris Everett, and Nancy E. Malone; brothers, Arnold Everett, James Houston Everett, Bernard Everett, and Jerry “Donald” Everett Sr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday June 27, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be the Reverend Andrew B. Wood. Burial will follow in Oakwood. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215 or to the charity of one’s choice.
