Linda Smith Obituary

Linda Gale Boggs Smith, 67, of Mebane, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at UNC Hospital. Linda enjoyed playing the slot machines on trips to the casinos. She also enjoyed the thrill of the find at thrift stores, going to the beach and she loved animals. She was a wonderful cook and baker; everyone looked forward to her treats.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Smith; daughter, Alicia Smith and her husband Todd; sister, Sylvia Teague and her husband Chris; brothers, Vernon Boggs and Ray Boggs; her nieces and nephews, Lyndsey, Jonathan, Clay, Jessica, Seth and Cheney; great niece, Natalie and Rowan; great nephew, Nathan and Harbor and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dorothy Greeson Boggs and her beloved dog, "Toogie". A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, May 15, 2023 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane. The family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm at the funeral on Monday prior to the service. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
