Linda Kay (Wilson) Jarrett

Linda Kay Wilson Jarrett 76, of Burlington, NC passed away on August 14, 2024 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. Linda was born on January 1, 1948 to the late Elijah “Clevo” Wilson and Velma Ann Bowman. Linda had many accomplishments over the years as a homeschool teacher, Sunday school teacher, a seamstress, a quilter, clogging and baking cakes for family and friends on special occasions for which she was so proud of. She was always there for her family as she was the family babysitter, helping raise her grandchildren that brought her so much joy. She will forever be remembered for being a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Survivors include her children, Tanya Jarrett Keeter and husband Chris, of Efland, Wayna Jarrett Kelly, of Florida, and John David Jarrett, of Burlington; her grandchildren, DJ Price, of Efland, Samantha Massey and husband Preston, of Haw River, Christopher Jarrett, of Burlington, Malana Mullens and husband Brandon, of Cedar Grove, Christina Ashley and husband Issac, of Efland, Brianna Sharpe and husband Kaleb, of Julian, and Savannah Kelly, of Florida; her great grandchildren, Laila Massey, Caiden Price, and Kaison Sharpe; her sister, Deborah Jean Wilson Matthews, of Burlington; and her niece and nephew, Patricia Genelle Johnson and Husband Randy and Brian Joseph Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Wilson and a granddaughter, Grace Alexandria Keeter. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Eastside Baptist Church with the Pastor Chris Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsborough Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday August 19, 2024 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane and other times at the residence of Preston and Samantha Massey in Haw River. McClure Funeral Home in Mebane is assisting the family.
