Marguerite Ann Glosek, 87, devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful woman, of Burlington died Friday, June 26, 2020. She was a native of Roselle, NJ, a homemaker, a generous volunteer and a world traveler. She was also a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, an avid reader, quilt maker and crafter and enjoyed collecting antique teapots and cups. She is the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Boyne Fegter. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven William Glosek.
Peggy was proud to be a long time member of the Burlington Woman’s Club. She joined BWC in 1986 and served many roles: Arts Department Chairman, Recording Sec., President (1990-1992), First Vice Pres., Second Vice Pres. and Thrift Shop Chairman. She received the Minnie Lou Parker Creech Clubwoman Award in 1994, GFWC-NC Honorary Life Membership in 1996 and BWC President’s Award in 1997 & 2000.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John Joseph Glosek, Sr. of The Village at Brookwood; children, John Joseph Glosek, Jr., Carolyn Margaret Glosek and Susan Glosek Guza and husband Blair, grandchildren, Abigail Catherine Guza and Margaret Blair Guza.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
