Marie "Eia" (Staunton) Hill

Gladys Marie “Eia” Staunton Hill, 84, of Burlington passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her residence. Marie was born in Alamance County to Maurice and Gladys Davis Staunton both deceased and she was the wife of Guy Fredrick Hill also deceased. She was a homemaker and she was a member of City Lake Baptist Church.

Marie is survived by her children, Janet Hill Williamson and her husband Jerry of Gibsonville, Craig Hill and his wife Teresa of Burlington, and Emily Hill Jordan and her husband Ron of Haw River. She had eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with one on the way. Sisters, Edna S. Copeland of Graham and Dottie S. Lewis of Burlington. Sister in law, Mary Staunton of Burlington.

In addition to her parents and husband Marie is preceded in death by her sister, Edith Ivey and a brother, Larry Staunton. She is also preceded in death by two infant siblings, Maurice and Clara Staunton.

There will be a memorial service held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 6:30 PM  at The Way Church, 580 Hwy. 100, Whitsett, NC 27377.
