Mr. Matthew “Jason” Simber, 29, of Graham, NC passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2023. Jason was born on February 11, 1994 in Alamance County and attended Southern Alamance High School. Known to many as "J Bird", he was a man who always put others needs above his own. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. Jason had a knack to fix anything and was called a “Jack of all trades and a master of all of them”. Jason never met a stranger and loved everyone around him, but nothing put a smile on his face like his children did. Survivors include his loving children, Mikena Simber, and Everett Simber; his loving soul mate, Brittany Williams; his parents, Michele Renee Phillips, and Adam Jason Simber; his siblings, Mikey Phillips, Darien Simber, Nicole Simber, Josh Simber, and Ty Eastwood; his grandmothers, Judy Phillips and Patricia Shields; aunts, Nikki Phillips, and Melanie Shields; uncles, Shane Phillips (Kristie) and David Simber (Linda); nieces, Maddie Painter, and Adylan Flash; a nephew, Quade Hinley; cousins, Chandler Phillips, Cameron Phillips, Truitt Whaley, Zane Phillips, Christopher Rylas and Julie Handy; special family, Mike and Patty Williams, Shea Spektor (Alex), and Macy Williams; special friends, Robert Rudd, Tony Evans, and Isah Parrish. Jason was preceded in death by a brother, Caleb Ryan Simber; his grandfathers, Michael Phillips and David Simber, and a great grandmother, Dorothy Shields. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday March 25, 2023 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Jason Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 at McClure Funeral Home prior to the service on Saturday and other times at the residence of Brittany and his grandmother, Judy. McClure Funeral Home in Graham is assisting the family.
