Nancy Cauble Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Hatley Cauble, 84, of 3348 Bason Road, Mebane, NC, was united with the Lord and her husband of 62 years, Mr. David Cheek "Pappy" Cauble Jr, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She is the daughter of the late Doug and Mollie Hatley. She worked outside of the home for the Alamance and Nash County Board of Elections and was a committed member of the Haw River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a proud member of The Lamb’s Chapel where she loved her Church and her Church family. Her heart was for people. She spent the majority of her life cultivating a home with open doors to everyone. She believed we were to spend our time on Earth in a way that would bring honor to God and show His love to all those around us. She was truly a blessing to those who knew her.

Survivors include her children: Sharon Cauble Holliday (Kevin), Cynthia Cauble Champion (Chuck), Anita Cauble Davis (Tommy); grandchildren: Obira Griggs (Erlyn), Brandon Griggs (Maranda), Cheryl Griggs Rainey (Ashley), Katy Champion Leute (Jaridd), Andy Champion (Kurt), Zack Moricle, Brooke Reaves; great grandchildren: Avery and Alana Griggs, Maci and Reegan Griggs, Madelyn, Evie, Nora, and Joelle Rainey, David, Elizabeth and Anna Kate Leute, Hattie Moricle, Mason, Davis and Cooper Reaves; siblings: Wayne D. Hatley (Sara), Vickie Hatley Martin (Phil); nieces and nephews: Christy Williams (Carl), Alison Williams Trivette (Scott) and Emily Williams Raible (Patrick), Adam Hatley, MaryAnn DeMeyer (Jeff), Gavin, Cali and Nyla and Archie Martin (Clare), Douglas and Emmett.

A private Family graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday March 22, 2020. Mrs. Cauble will be open to the public from 12:00 until 5:00 Pm on Saturday March 21, 2020 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haw River Fire Department at 403 East Main St. Haw River, NC 27258 or to the Living Free Ministries at 1230 Walnut Grove Lane, Snow Camp, NC 27349.
