Nancy Carolyn Bradley Womble, 74, of Mebane, passed away on April 23, 2024, at her home. Nancy was born on December 28, 1949 to the late Thomas H. (Buck) Bradley and Louise W. Bradley. She attended Eastern Alamance High School (Class of 1968) and graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1971 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, Nancy taught elementary school in Alamance County before becoming a homemaker. She and her husband, Glenn, were married for 47 years.
Nancy was a beloved teacher, friend, wife, and grandmother. She was also a lifelong member of Mebane Presbyterian Church and received an Honorary Life Membership from the Presbyterian Women in 1995.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Glenn F. Womble, Jr., of the home; daughter, Susan (Matt) Linder of Stokesdale; sister, Dare (John) Nicholson of Durham; brothers, Clinton Bradley and Charles Bradley, both of Mebane; granddaughters, Sophie Louise Linder and Annie Grace Linder.
The memorial service will be held at Mebane Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends in the church’s fellowship hall immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at the home. Memorials may be made to Mebane Presbyterian Church, 502 South Fifth Street, Mebane, NC 27302 or to AuthoraCare Hospice-Burlington. McClure Funeral Service in Mebane is assisting the family.
