Opal Parks Obituary

Opal Lee Parks, 81 of Burlington passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Peak Resources in Graham. Opal was born in Banks County, Georgia to Hoyt and Emma Payton Bell both deceased. She was the wife of Ernest Benjamin Parks also deceased. She was a member of Greenway Park Baptist Church and she was retired from retail sales.

Opal is survived by her children: Rhonda Garrett (Goley) of Graham and Randy Parks (Tammy) of Graham.  Grandchildren: Blair Dove (Jason), Andrew Calvert (Sherita), Matt Parks (Kelly), Alec Parks (Sasha), Miranda Parks, Justin Buzzard (Lauren), Jesse Buzzard (Nikole). Thirteen Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Hazel Jones (Glenn) and Sue Pruitt. In addition to her parents and husband Opal was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Ruth Parsons and brother in law. Maxie Pruitt.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM  for family onlyat Greenway Park Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Aaron Wall. The service will be live streamed on Facebook live on Greenway Park Baptist Church Facebook page.
