Robert Shannon Horn

Robert Shannon Horn, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Alamance County and was a graduate of Graham High School, Class of ’89.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Michelle DelGado Horn and their three children, Jordan Alexis Horn and fiancé John, Zachary Ryan Horn and Robert Seth Horn, and by his father and mother, Robert Stephen Horn and Linda B. Horn of Graham.  His greatest joy in life was being “Pawpaw” to his precious granddaughter, Willow Parker Horn and to his grand-dog Sasha Fierce.  He leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. 

Shannon was the type of man who embraced the simplicity of life.  His life centered around his family. He was an amazing dad and coach, both with baseball and with life.  He loved to fish anywhere from deep sea fishing to boating on the lake to sitting on the bank of the pond.  Shannon bonded with many through his love for rock music and concerts. He was a Greenway Park boy, a talented BMX racer, a golfing buddy, a carpenter, a loyal trusted friend, and a protector.  He will be missed immensely.

A private funeral service will be held at The Lamb’s Chapel in Haw River on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Biggers. Shannon will be open for public viewing at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM  Tuesday, April 28th.  Due to COVID-19 the family will be unable to be present during the public viewing.  The family wishes to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
