Robert "Bob" Glenn Hogan Sr.

Mr. Robert Glenn “Bob” Hogan Sr. 88, of Hillsborough, NC passed away on May 26, 2023 at Terra Bella in Hillsborough. A native of Durham Co. NC, he was the son of the late Clifton Glenn Hogan and Gladys Atkins Hogan. Bob graduated from Durham High School in 1953 and was retired from Duke University as a medical instrument maker for 42 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was known for having an ear for music and keeping a wonderful garden. Bob was a simple man who loved his family and the Lord. He was a lifelong member of Grey Stone Baptist Church in Durham. Bob was a proud veteran of the US Army reserves, serving for 6 years. Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years, June Smith Hogan; his son, Glenn Hogan and wife Melissa; and his many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. E. Thomas Hogan. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday June 2, 2023 at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane.
