Robert "Bobby" Wagoner Obituary

Robert “Bobby” Wilson Wagoner, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 18, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Bobby was a native of Alamance County and was the son of the late Robert Lewis Wagoner and Margaret Manual Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner was a mechanic for the later part of his working years; retiring from McAdams Exxon he helped many customers over the years have “Happy Motoring” after he completed a service for them. Bobby was a man of faith and will be remembered as a good Christian man. He practiced and maintained his faith as a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane and served as a deacon for over 40 years. Bobby will be remembered as a kind and respectful man, always being sure to thank any and every person he could for anything they did, no matter how big or small the favor was. Bobby will also be remembered for his storytelling; his many years of farm work, mechanic work, and escapades with his high school friends frequently provided entertainment for many, especially his grandchildren. Most of all, Bobby will be remembered for the consistent unconditional love he had for his family, always making sure they knew how much they meant to his life.

Mr. Wagoner is survived by his wife, Jane Faucette Wagoner, his daughter, Tracy Walker (Mike), and their children, Drew Walker (Dakota), Logan Walker, Michaela Walker (Yates Collier), Garrett Walker, and Kenan Walker, his son, Douglas Wagoner (Kristy Durham), and their children, Thorne Wagoner, Lance Wagoner, Mason Wagoner, Caeton Florence, and Jase Wagoner.

A service to celebrate the life of Bobby will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mebane beginning at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. Burial and a service of committal will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
