Rodney Dale Ward Sr.

Mr. Rodney Dale Ward Sr., 63 of Elon, NC passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his residence. A native of Alamance Co. NC, he was the son of the late Ervin Eugene Ward and Shirley Saul Ward, who survives. Rodney was the owner and operator for 29 years of Ward's Decks where he loved the work and pride that came along with it. Over the years, he and Cindy would take trips to the NC Mountains and visit Cherokee. Rodney enjoyed fishing, racing and watching his westerns. He will forever be remembered for being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many but nothing put a smile on his face like his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Porter Ward; his children, Heather Galdamez and husband Juan, Courtney Kimes and husband Tyler, Rodney Dale Ward Jr. and wife Liz, and Larry O'Daniel Jr.; his precious grandchildren, Rhett Harvey Ward, Jedidiah O'Daniel, Landon O'Daniel, Sophia O'Daniel, Juan Galdamez, Jalen Galdamez, Jonathan Galdamez, Justin Galdamez, Kaytee Hancock, Madison Hancock, and Daxton Kimes; his brothers, Randy Ward and Ricky Ward and wife Pam. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mackenzie O'Daniel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday November 29, 2024, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the family receiving friends following the service at the funeral home. McClure Funeral Home in Mebane is honored to serve the family.
