Roger Lee Williams

Mr. Roger Lee Williams 46, of Greensboro, NC passed away on July 30, 2024, at Wesley Long Hospital. A native of Alamance Co. NC, he is the son of Eugene Williams and Rita Rogers Williams, who survive. Roger had a green thumb and loved to nurse and raise flowers. He was an extraordinary piano player with the gift of being able to hear a song and instantly play it on the piano. Roger was a people person who always put the needs of others above his own, which led him to a career of being a CNA where he had joy in looking after those who needed help. Over the years. Roger enjoyed his trips to the NC Mountains and the beaches with his family and friends and he always enjoyed watching cooking shows. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Tabitha Faye Williams and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and special friends. Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carson Rogers Sr., Virginia Shoe George, and Katherlene Williams Meeks; aunts, Gertie Lux, and Rose Daniels; uncles, Randy Younger, Carson Rogers Jr. and William “Gene” Williams Sr. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday August 5, 2024, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Brian Covert officiating. Burial will follow in Concord UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
