She was born on May 1, 1939, in Henderson, Vance County, NC, to the late Wilford Monroe Hunter and Esther Mae Blackley. Rose was a devoted military wife, having supported her spouse, Walter L. Rose and Walter shared 60 years together filled with faith, adventures, travel, joy, and love.
Rose's pride and utmost joy stemmed from her love for her Lord and her beloved family. She had a deep passion for reading and cherished her Scottish heritage and genealogy research.
