Roy Hilton John

Roy Hilton John, 77, passed away on Monday, November 02, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.  Roy was born November 09, 1942 in New York City, New York, to Percival John and Lillian Hall John, both deceased.

Roy made a living at a printing press for most of his working years and grew in his relationship with God at Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Mebane. Roy could be described as an easy-going, kind, and compassionate man. Roy had a passion for many things, he enjoyed creating art, spending time in the outdoors, never missed an episode of Jeopardy, and always kept up with the New York Mets and his love for baseball. Roy had room for all of these things in his heart but none of them surpassed the love he had for his God and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Denise Helen John, a son, Christian John, his daughters, Noelle John, Veronica Hargrove (Morris), Debra Core (Ervin), Charlene Leath (Andre), Lisa Perez (Jimmy), and Alisa Ginyard (Tony), a sister, Olive Simmons, 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by, a daughter, Kim John, a son, Wilberto Melendez, a grandson, James Perez and 6 siblings. There will be no services held at this time.
