Sarah Moore Thompson

Sarah Moore Thompson, 95, of Graham passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. She was a native of Alamance County, retired from Kayser Roth. She is the daughter of the late Lacy Ernest and Blanche Cheek Moore. She is the wife of the late Bennie C. Thompson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Moore and sister Adelle Moore Braxton. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and president of the Presbyterian Women and she received an honorary life membership in the Presbyterian Church USA. She was known as a loving, sweet and caring Christian lady. She also enjoyed watching baseball, birds, squirrels and taking bus tours.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly T. McAdams (Keith) of Anderson, SC; sons Danny C. Thompson (Susan) of Durham, Rick A. Thompson of Laurens, SC; sisters, Beckie Moore Hargrove of Snow Camp and Greta Moore Thomas of Snow Camp.

A service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM Monday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham by Pastor Keith Porter. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 – 2:00 before the service.
