Tammy Renae Yates

Miss Tammy Renae Yates, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at her residence after a short period of declining health. She was born in Alamance County, Jan. 5, 1962, to Billy and Shelba Yates, who preceded her in death.She is survived by her daughter, Morgan Yates; sister, Billie Jean Rimmer (Eddie); brothers, Russell Yates (Melody) and Doug Yates (Kim); nieces, Shannon Bailey (Jamie) and Lindsey Yates; nephews, Travis Rimmer, Justice Yates, Hunter Gwynn and Caleb Gwynn; one great-niece Peyton Bailey; and many special cousins. She was a member of Efland United Methodist Church and a long time employee of PHE in Hillsborough, N.C. She was energetic, full of life and loved to laugh. She was well known for her love of raccoons. The family would like to thank all the family and friends who visited with her, and for all the prayers. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Efland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ken McLean and the Rev. Cindy Lister with the burial to follow in the Efland Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at McClure Funeral & Cremation Service in Mebane on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
