Tracy Dawne Hunter

Mrs. Tracy Dawne Hunter, 53, of Graham, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief stay at the Hospice Home. A native of Alamance Co. NC, she is the daughter of the late Calvin Easter and Vickie Payne Easter, who survives. Tracy was a 1988 graduate of Hugh M. Cummings High School. She was currently the office manager at Carolina Gym Supply in Hillsborough where she loved and cherished her work family. To Tracy her happy place was being at the lake with her family and friends but as long as she was outside, she would have a smile on her face. She will forever be remembered as our family glue and will always be our rock. In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband, Michael “Mike” Eugene Hunter; daughters, Molly Barrett (Eric), Rachel Barrett (Jeff) and Kristen Hunter (Chris); she was GiGi to her grandchildren, Kamdyn and Greyson; her sisters, Jackie Reynolds, and Christy Rogers (Jose); her nieces and nephews, Ashley, David, Katie, Audrey and Kaylee; her father-in-law, Gene Hunter; her special aunts, Dreama Easter, Linda Aiken and Hazel Sharpe; and her special friend, Lisa Lightcap (Jeff). In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew Dylan and her mother-in-law, Judith Meacham Hunter. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday September 9, 2023, at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church with the Pastor Jimmy Wooten officiating. Burial will follow alongside her father in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday September 8, 2023, at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
