Val Crutchfield Carden

Mrs. Val Crutchfield Carden, of Graham, NC passed away on October 2nd, 2021 at The Cottage at Blakey Hall. Born in Burlington, she was the daughter of the late Elisha Braxton and Leona Terrell Crutchfield and the wife of the late Thomas Holt Carden Sr. Val was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, always looking for an opportunity to serve the Lord and Take care of others, Survivors include her sons, Thomas Holt Carden Jr. (Ricky) and Lynn Baldwin and Don Carden and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Josh Carden and wife Heather, and Simone Carden; great grandchildren, Heath and Hailynn Carden; sister, Nettie Day and husband Bobby; sister in laws, Carolyn Crutchfield and Bertie Crutchfield. In addition to her parents and husband, Val was preceded in death by her brothers, Graham Crutchfield and Jerry Crutchfield, and her sister, Dot Cates and her late husband, Thomas Cates. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215. The family of Mrs. Carden wishes to give a very special thank you to the staff at the Cottage at Blakey Hall as well as to the staff of AuthoraCare Hospice for their love and care shown to Val during her illness.
