Velma Sue Slaughter Willetts

Velma Sue Slaughter Willetts, 88, of Burlington, passed away on October 20, 2023 at ARMC.  She was the daughter of the late Johnson and Ida Slaughter.  Before she retired, she worked as a floral designer.  She is survived by her children, Roy (Renee) Willetts, Amy Willetts-Albright, Cheryl Pearce, David (Caroline) Willetts and Kelly Arroyo; grandchildren, Scott Albright, Benjamin Albright, Michael Giovinazzo, Krista Barber, Jacob Stevens (Samantha), Rebekah Willetts, Sarah, Jessica, Lisa (Lino) and Mateo Arroyo (Dale); great grandchildren, Erikah Corbett (Jonas), Karmah Corbett, Lanah Corbett, Xavier Corbett, Samuel Arroyo, Nathaneal Cruz, Wyatt Stevens, Waylon Stevens, Jaxson Stevens, Isabella Elizalde, Jose Medrano, Alex Medrano, Monica Arroyo, Alicia Arroyo, Mackinzy Arroyo, Emily Arroyo and a great great grandchild, Emery Reyes. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alton Willetts; brother, James Slaughter; sisters, Virginia Slaughter Frazier and Vina Lou Faulk.  The family will receive friends on Saturday October 28, 2023 from 10am-12pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.
