Wanda Carol DeRush

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Wanda Carol DeRush.
She had a deep love for adventure and had a gypsy heart. She found serenity in the majesty of mountains and the tranquility of the open sea. Her passion for exploration led her to countless memorable cruises and mountain journeys, where she found solace and wonder. She also was a dedicated member for many years at The World of Pentecost church of Burlington and was a very well loved Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by Husband, David Kidd, Sister, Sylvia Jenkins, Brother, “Squirrel” Mansfield, Daughters, Rose Swift, Cheryl Chafatelli, Melissa Brooks (Brian Sr), Wanda Duckworth (Rickie), Lynn Wyatt (Kemper) Grandchildren, Michael George (Jaime), Chris George (Kylee), Laura Jernigan (Todd), Crystal Pozarycki, Lauren Russell (Kenny), Amanda Grinnell (Andrew), Steven Jernigan (Kali), Erica Stanforth (Brian), Whit Swift, Ryan Duckworth, Brian Brooks Jr (Julia), Brittany Martinez (Tony) and 24 Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Frank T. DeRush, Mother, Virginia Forbes Mansfield, Father, Paul Monroe Mansfield, Sister, Valke Hathaway, Brothers, Paul Mansfield Jr, and Donald Mansfield.

A celebration of her life will be held on November 6 at World Of Pentecost 1935 Hanford Road Burlington Nc 27216. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in commemorating a life well-lived and cherished.
