Ana Merle Culberson Brooks

Ana Merle Culberson Brooks, 85, passed away on April 15, 2024 at home.  She was the daughter of the late Allen Jay and Flora Belle Culberson.  Ana was active in her church, Rock Creek Methodist singing in the choir.  She was a Polio survivor and was known to be very creative.  She enjoyed sewing and helping her husband run Brooks Grocery Store.  She was also her father’s caretaker.  Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jay Brooks (Robyn), Daniel Brooks (Charina), Nora Brooks, Darrell Brooks, Dwayne Brooks (Carol); 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sisters,  Lou Gordh (Rudy), Teresa Schrader (Lee); brothers, Kenneth Culberson (Patti) and Kermit Culberson.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry William Brooks and a brother Bobby Jay Culberson.  The family will receive friends on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.  The funeral will be held at 2pm on Friday April 19, 2024 at Rock Creek Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society http://cancer.org or to St. Jude’s https://www.stjude.org/
