Dale Dixon

In loving memory of Dale Dixon, who went to his eternal home on Thursday, April 4,2024. Born on April 27, 1957, he lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and community.

Dale was the beloved husband of Sandy Dixon; faithful father to Susan Allison (Jarrett), Justin Dixon (Adrian), Morgan Lee (Dylan), Bethany Dixon and Evan Dixon: and dearest Papa to his grandchildren, Della Allison, Landry Allison, Ava Parker, and Rhett Lee. Brother to Danny Dixon (Cindy), Sherri Kaiser (Frank) and Pat Ross (Woody).

He was predeceased by his parents Lamont Alfred Dixon, Jr., Edna Earl Bradsher Dixon, his son Dale Palmer Dixon, and his brother Douglas Earl Dixon.

Dale was an avid hunter and an even greater wildlife conservationist. He planted corn for miles and grew hundreds of apple trees. All to the glory of God and for the enjoyment of others. Dale had a passion for life with his big heart and open arms. The light that he radiated will never go dim as he will live on in our hearts forever.

An Eastern Alamance alumnus, Dale went on to graduate from Wingate College in 1977. He was hired by Crumpton and Knowles Inc, in 1978 as the shop layout operator and then level 2 toolmaker.  In 1980 Dale took a job with Kamtec Inc, a precision tooling company that performed custom tooling for companies such as A-O Smith Electronic Motor Division, GKN Automotive Corporation and Allison Aircraft to name a few. Dale was hired by AT&T Technologies in 1984. His tour of assignments included 36 grade detail maker, toolmaker, engineering associate, supervisor/coach, engineer and then lead engineer. In 2001 Dale contracted with North Carolina Farm Bureau as an agent and was promoted to Agency Manager on January 1, 2006, with achievements too numerous to mention. Dale retired August 31, 2023, to focus on his farm.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday April 8, 2024, at Hebron Community Church.  Dale will lie in state at the church from 12:30pm-1pm.  A Celebration of Life reception will follow in the fellowship hall, where dinner will be served.
